F-100

Formula 100

F-100 is a therapeutic milk used in the rehabilitation phase of treatment for children with severe acute malnutrition. After a child has been stabilized, F-100 helps support catch-up growth and weight gain by providing more energy and nutrients. It is prepared as a liquid therapeutic feed and is given under medical supervision. F-100 is intended for children who are ready to move into the recovery and nutritional rehabilitation phase of treatment.

F-75

Formula 75

F-75 is a therapeutic milk used in the first phase of treatment for children with severe acute malnutrition. At this stage, the goal is to gently stabilize the child, support recovery, and help the body adjust safely to feeding again. Because children in this phase are especially fragile, F-75 is carefully formulated to meet immediate needs without overloading the body. It is used under medical supervision for children in the initial, or stabilization, phase of treatment.

RUSF

Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food

Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF) is a fortified food supplement used to help children with moderate acute malnutrition improve their nutritional status. It is meant to add important energy and nutrients to a child’s diet during recovery. RUSF is eaten straight from the package and does not require cooking, dilution, or mixing. It is made for children 6 months and older and is used as a supplement to regular feeding, not as a replacement for breast milk.

Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food

Ready-to-Use Therapeutic Food (RUTF) is a nutrient-dense therapeutic paste used to treat children with severe acute malnutrition. It is designed to provide the energy, protein, vitamins, and minerals a child needs to recover. RUTF is eaten directly from the sachet, with no cooking, mixing, or water needed, which makes it practical and safe to use in community settings. During treatment, it can serve as the child’s main food source, alongside breast milk for children who are breastfed. It is intended for children 6 to 59 months with severe wasting who do not have medical complications and are able to eat, or as directed by a qualified clinician.
